Monkeypox Introduction

Monkeypox virus (MPV)는 수두과에 속하는 두창 바이러스에 속하는 이중 가닥 DNA 바이러스입니다. variola(VACV), vaccinia(VACV) 바이러스를 포함한 인간 수두 바이러스 중 하나입니다. 수두 바이러스는 크기가 약 200~400nm이고 벽돌 또는 타원형이며 안정적인 DNA 구조를 가지고 있어 돌연변이가 발생해도 스스로 복구할 수 있습니다.
